Overview

The Biotechnology division was established in 2002 with the objective of generating process engineers on the rapidly proliferating avenues of industrial biotechnology. The academic programme has strong basis in engineering, cellular and molecular aspects of the biological system up-stream & down-stream processing bioreactor design & recombinant technology genetic engineering scaling and production of biological products, This division is supported by FIST programme of DST.

To nurture graduates with conceptual understanding of various biological processes and systems.

To create technology enablers who can fuse the concepts of biology and process engineering in bringing out solutions to address the issues faced in the modern era.

To instill spirit of innovation and creativity in young minds and thereby making them to push the frontiers of knowledge in biotechnology

To create graduates who can develop solutions for sustenance of all forms of life on earth.
